Save Our Surgery - Greyfriars Health Centre

In a move supported by Brandon Lewis, your local Conservative MP (see here), the NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney Care Commissioning Group have taken the shameful decision to close Greyfriars Medical Clinic & Walk In Centre after a recent renovation project costing some £8million. This will deprive the community of a vital medical resource and add further pressure to other local surgeries and the already overstretched A&E Department at the James Paget University Hospital.

We the undersigned believe the decision to close Greyfriars Health Centre is wrong and will put patients at risk and put unnecessary & dangerous demands upon local Health Services. We call upon NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney CCG to reverse this decision with immediate effect.

Never forgave Brandon Lewis for failing to support the coastguards. Shame on him again.

Closure of this will put more pressure on the East of England Ambulance Service who are struggling to meet response and turn around targets. Tories never did want the NHS. Will do any thing they can to undermine it

I feel the closure of Grey Friars Health centre would put patients at risk. So many people rely on the health centre.
