Gorleston St. Andrew's By-Election

After months of waiting and court appearances the UKIP councillor for Gorleston St Andrews admitted what we'd known all along - he broke the law.

We think Gorleston deserves better.

The election for Gorleston St Andrews is set for 16th July.  Tony Wright has been selected to fight the seat for Labour, and missing out by only 20 votes last time round puts him in a good position to win the seat for us.

A message from Tony Wright--

Dear Resident,

In 2013, I stood for election to the County Council in Gorleston & St Andrews on a pledge to be a strong voice for you all and that I would always put Gorleston& St Andrews first.Today, in this by-election, caused by the disqualification of the UKIP Councillor who beat me by just 20 votes, I make that pledge again.

I also pledge to you that, unlike the Tory and UKIP candidates who are both Borough Councillors for different parts of the Borough, I will only be interested in representing you in Gorleston & St Andrews. I find it unacceptable that they think they can split their time between two Councils. I also find it unacceptable that they think they can represent effectively the residents of two very different areas.

I pledge that I will hold regular advice surgeries and you will have my contact details should you need my help or advice. I hope to see as many of you as possible in the next couple of weeks where I can discuss issues with you. But, if you prefer, then please don’t hesitate to contact me at home on 662835.

A Strong Voice for you – Putting Gorleston & St Andrews first!

Tony Wright
